Beyonce Inspires Custom Sneakers

Last year, the designers at PMK Customs honored Jay-Z by transforming a pair of Nike Air Jordans into their very own "Brooklyn Zoo" re-creations.  Now the company has announced it's paying homage to Beyonce, with its "King Bey" release.

The PMK Customs team has taken the Isabel Marant sneaker wedge and turned it into something that the company says reflects "Southern belle" Beyonce's "sweet and fierce persona."  The company gave the shoe what it calls "the Eden treatment" -- that is, they've cobbled together a "hybrid of land and sea skins," including stingray, ostrich, calf's fur, crocodile and anaconda, to produce the off-white Beyonce-inspired shoes that they've revealed online.

Bey, who spends a lot of her time in stilettos, is apparently a fan of Isabel Marant's sneaker wedges.  She wore a black pair of the kicks with the hidden platforms, in her "Love on Top" music video.
